• Should electrolyte solution leak from the bat-
tery and the product, avoid contact with eyes,
mucous membranes, and skin.
Rinse off affected areas with plenty of clean
water and consult a doctor immediately. The
electrolyte solution may cause irritations.
• Disconnect the product from the charging
cable when it is fully charged.
• The product may be charged only in dry,
enclosed interior spaces.
Never charge and store the product near
major sources of heat or near open flame as
this could lead to explosion of the battery.
• If the battery catches fire during charging,
do not use water to extinguish it, but use for
example dry sand.
• Do not leave the product unattended during
charging and be sure to guard against any
possible overheating.
• Charge the battery only at an ambient temper-
ature of between 5 and 35°C.
• The charging contacts on the device may not
come into contact with metallic objects.
• If the product has received a heavy blow,
store it for the next 30 minutes in a very safe
location (e.g. in a metal box).
• Never try to manipulate, modify, or repair a
battery or the product.
Charging the battery (fig. Q)
1. Connect the USB plug (41a) of the USB cable
(41) to the battery plug connector(40d) of the
train (40).
2. Connect the USB plug (41b) of the USB cable
to a USB port of a switched-on computer or of
a charging station with a USB port.

Replacing batteries (fig. J/fig. P)
WARNING! Comply with the following
instructions to prevent mechanical and
electrical damage.
If the batteries included with the product no
longer work, replace them
1. Using a suitable screwdriver (not supplied),
remove the screw (36e)/(39c) of the battery
compartment lid (36f)/(39d) on the bottom of
the research vehicle (36) or of the spaceship
(39).
Note: Keep the screw in a safe place and out
of the reach of children.
2. Remove the battery compartment lid and take
out the old batteries.
3. Carefully place new batteries into the battery
compartment (36g)/( 39e). The batteries must
be fully seated in the battery compartment.
Note: Pay attention to the plus/minus polarity
of the batteries and their correct installation.
4. Screw the battery compartment lid on the
bottom of the research vehicle (36) or of the
spaceship (39) back on tight.
Assembly
Space station
To assemble the space station you need compo-
nents 1-15. Assemble the individual components
as shown in fig. B.
Note: First put together components 2 and 7
and then components 3 to 7.
Component 15 is only required once here.
Spaceship launch pad with gate-
way
To assemble the spaceship launch pad with
gateway you need components 15-29. Assem-
ble the individual components as shown in figs.
C to E.
Note: When assembling components 22 and
24 be sure to position them correctly (fig. C).
Component 15 is required twice here.
