Read these instructions carefully before using the orthosis. If you have any questions, consult
your doctor or the shop where you purchased it.
•
The general instructions of use and specific indications determined by the doctor should always
be followed.
•
Only a doctor is qualified to prescribe treatment and determine its duration and monitoring.
•
If you notice any side effects, skin conditions or sensitisation, consult your doctor immediately.
•
Your doctor might consider the use of topical creams in conjunction with the orthosis.
•
In areas of support where pressure is applied, the skin should not be damaged or hypersensitive.
•
Although the orthosis is not for single use, it should only be used by one patient. The product
should not be reused by other patients.
•
The first fitting of the orthosis should be carried out either by qualified personnel (doctor,
orthopaedic technician, etc.) or under their supervision.
•
For the orthosis to function properly, its components must be regularly checked to ensure that
they are in good condition. The medical staff responsible for monitoring treatment may explain
the suitability of the product to the patient or suggest its replacement if it is damaged or worn.
•
Make sure that the quick Velcro fasteners are free from fluff and lint to ensure that their closure
properties are preserved.
•
Clean the product regularly and maintain proper hygiene.
•
Do not wear the orthosis while having a bath, shower, etc.
•
Do not let children play with this device.
Instructions for proper fitting:
MPK100: Once the correct size has been chosen for the patient, the thinner end, rolled up on
itself, should be fitted and fastened with the velcro and velour, forming an opening the same size
as the thumb (Fig. 1). Next, place on the thumb adjusting the size of the opening if necessary (Fig.
2), and then wrap around the wrist with the necessary pressure for optimum compression, without
immobilising (Fig. 3). Lastly, close the orthosis by fastening the velcro to the velour (Fig. 4).
MPK101: Once the correct size and side have been chosen for the patient, the hand should be
inserted into the wrist brace; if necessary, it is possible to adjust the palmar splint to the needs of the
patient. Lastly, close the velcro fasteners so that the brace fits correctly.
MPK102: This product comes in one size. For fitting, open the wrist brace, place face down (Fig. 1),
insert the attachment through the thumb opening, as shown in (Fig. 2), as far as necessary depending
on the length of the patient's thumb (Fig. 3) and fasten as shown in (Fig. 4). Then close the orthosis
normally, as indicated in the instructions for MPK101.
Product maintenance - washing instructions:
Before washing, close all of the velcros. Hand wash with warm water (max. 30ºC). Use neutral
detergent. Do not use bleach. Do not tumble dry. Do not iron. Do not dry clean.
For drying, use a towel to absorb as much moisture as possible and then leave to dry at room
temperature. If the orthosis is not well rinsed out, detergent residue can remain and cause irritation
to the skin and damage to the product. Rinse the orthosis with plenty of water to remove any
remaining detergent which could damage the product or cause skin irritation.
Do not expose to direct heat sources such as stoves, heaters, radiators, direct sunlight, etc. Do not use
alcohol, creams or solvents for cleaning.
Note: Any serious incident involving the product must be reported to the manufacturer and to the
competent authority of the Member State where the user and/or patient is located.

Kuvaus ja käyttöaihe:
MPK100: Joustavaksi suunniteltu vakauttava rannetuki ympäröi peukalon ja ranteen ja saa aikaan
tarvittavan puristuksen tukemaan niveltä ja lievittämään kipua ylläpitäen samalla käden toimintakykyä.
Siihen on käytetty täydellisesti käteen mukautuvaa elastista ja hengittävää materiaalia ja sisäpuolella
vaahtoa lisäämään pehmustetta ja tuomaan mukavuutta.
MPK101: Immobilisoiva rannetuki, joka on valmistettu hengittävästä, joustavasta ja pehmustetusta
kankaasta, joka takaa täydellisen sopivuuden. Lasta saa aikaan immobilisaation sisäpuolella
olevan muokatusta taottavasta alumiinista suunnitellun kämmenlevyn ansiosta, joka immobilisoi
rannenivelen samalla kun kämmenselkälevy vakauttaa ja antaa nivelelle tarvittavan jäykkyyden.
Ergonomisesti muotoiltu vaahto on kädelle täydellisen mukava.
MPK102: Peukalon immobilisaatiotuki -lisäosa sopii ranteen immobilisaatiotukeen, se on valmistettu
samoista materiaaleista ja se muodostuu sisäpuolelta alumiinilevystä, joka saa aikaan vamman
tyypistä riippuen peukalonivelen immobilisaation. Tämä levy on mukautettava ja sen voi sovittaa
kunkin potilaan käteen.
