This camera is used for video surveillance indoors or outdoors (depending on the model) in
conjunction with a recording device or a corresponding display device (e.g. PC).

The effective IR range depends on the location. Light-absorbing surfaces or
objects in the field of vision that do not reflect IR light reduce the IR range or
cause the video image to be too dark. Furthermore, reflective objects in the
direct vicinity of the camera (gutter, wall) can result in disturbing reflections of
the IR light in the image.
