INSTRUCTIONS
WINDING CROWN
The winding crown is used to set the time, stop
the movement, and correct the date. For Aquanaut
models equipped with a screw-down crown, it must
be completely unscrewed before you can perform
any adjustments.
BATTERY
A battery can leak and damage the watch. If your
watch stops running, you should take it to an
Authorized Patek Philippe Retailer immediately
where its battery will be replaced and its water
resistance verified. Quartz watches also need to be
serviced every three to five years. A battery change
is not an overall service.
Caliber E 23-250 S C movements indicate the end
of the battery life when the second hand advances
in increments of four seconds instead of one second.

SETTING THE TIME
Caliber E 15
To set the time, gently pull the crown all the way
out (position 2) and move the hands in either direc-
tion. Once you have set the correct time, push the
crown home again.
Caliber E 23-250 S C
To set the time, unscrew completely the crown
(Aquanaut models), pull it gently all the way out
(position 3), and move the hands in either direction.
When the crown is pulled out as far as it will go,
the second hand stops, allowing you to set the time
to the exact second. Push the crown back in to start
the mechanism up again as soon as you hear the
audible signal. For Aquanaut models, don't forget to
screw the crown back in. We advise against turning
the hands counterclockwise across midnight because
this would require a correction of the date; however,
it would not damage the calendar mechanism.
Note: If your watch has stopped running, first move the
hands clockwise until they pass 12 o'clock and the date
advances by one day (at midnight). Then set the correct
time. If it is past noon, move the hands forward beyond
12 o'clock again.
