section of this manual.
.
CHECK TRANSMISSION OIL LEVEL
The hydrostatic transmission,
differential and hydraulic lift
System (if the tractor is so equipped) all operate from a common
oil reservoir. Prime the hydraulic system before running at fast
throttle to check oil levels.
.22-
А
CAUTION: PROPER OIL LEVEL 15 ESSENTIAL FOR FULL ВВАК-
`
ING EFFECT AND PROTECTION AGAINST SEVERE DAMAGE TO
—
THE TRANSMISSION.
Use the following procedure to check the transmission oil level:
1.
Be sure tractor is level and tires are inflated properly.
2.
Wipe dirt from around the oil level and filler plug. See
Figure 11.
3.
With engine running. remove
plug. Oil level is correct
when it is at the top of the filler elbow as shown in Figure
11.
4.
|f necessary, use a small funnel to add sufficient 5W-30 oil
to bring the oil up to the proper level. Replace plug.
NOTE: SEE "LUBRICATION" SECTION OF THIS MANUAL FOR
HEAVY USE OR HIGH TEMPERATURE TRANSMISSION OIL RE-
QUIREMENTS.
Be very careful to prevent dirt and foreign materials from enter-
ing the oil reservoir when checking the oil.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT PUSH OR TOW TRACTOR AS INTERNAL
TRANSMISSION DAMAGE COULD RESULT. LOAD TRACTOR ON
TRUCK OR TRAILER WHEN DELIVERING TO PURCHASER.
^
FILL FUEL TANK
Fill fuel tank with unleaded gasoline. Do not use premium
gasoline. Tank capacity is 4.5 U.S. gallons.
CHECK TIRE PRESSURE
inflate tires to pressures shown in the chart on page 12. Use a
low pressure tire gauge for accurate readings.
CHECK SAFETY INTERLOCK SYSTEM
To make sure that the safety interlock system has not become
disconnected or damaged in shipment, check to see that the
tractor will not start unless:
1.
The Hydrostatic Control Lever is in the ''PARK/START""
position.
2.
Implement Power Control Switch is in the "ОРЕ" (In)
position.
If the engine starts with above controls in any other position, the
safety interlock must be corrected before delivery.
NOTE: IF ATTACHMENT IS INSTALLED: CHECK FOR ADDITION
OF WHEEL WEIGHTS OR TIRE CHAINS AS REQUIRED FOR TH
ATTACHMENT.
