The urethane foam [(d) Fig. 35]: Wash and clean the urethane foam using a special detergent for air
filter. Immerse it into engine oil until it is saturated with oil, then gently squeeze it. Clean the urethane
foam every 20 h operating hours and change it every 50 h or every year;
5.
The paper element [(e) Fig. 35]: To clean the paper element, gently tap it a few times against
a hard surface to drop dirt, or blow with air compressed from the inside to out. Never brush
the element, the brushing would penetrate the impurities inside the fibers. Replace the paper
element when it is very dirty;
NOTE
Paper element is not washable.
6.
Assemble the elements [(d) and (e) Fig. 35] and put them back in place;
7.
Put back the wing nut [(c) Fig. 35];
8.
Replace the cover [(b) Fig. 35] and correctly tighten the wing nuts [(a) Fig. 35].
NOTE
Use only genuine parts.
9.4. SERVICING FUEL SYSTEM
DRAIN THE WATER FROM THE CARBURATOR
Every 100 operating hours, drain the water from the carburator.
1.
Untighten the carburetor bleed screw [Fig. 36];
2.
Thoroughly let water flow out of the carburator into a convenient container;
3.
Tighten the carburetor bleed screw.
SERVICING THE FUEL TANK FILTER
Every 100 operating hours, replace the fuel filter, located at the bottom of the tank.
NOTE
This operation should be performed by the dealer of by the nearest After Sales Service.
REPLACING THE FUEL PIPE
•
Replace the fuel pipes every 2 years or every 1000 operating hours [Fig. 37].
•
In case a leak is detected on fuel pipes, replace them at once.
