INFORMATION
internal over-pressure vent mechanism. This
protects the internal pressure sensor and
pump mechanism from damage.
CAUTION
Do not use hydrogen with the
instrument or its accessories.
To prevent a dangerous release of pressure,
isolate and bleed the system before the
disconnection of a pressure connection.
A dangerous release of pressure can cause
injury.
To prevent damage to the instrument, do not
let dirt go into the pressure mechanism. Clean
all attached equipment before connection.
The instrument must be vented before a
change of the pump mechanism between
vacuum and pressure (or vice-versa). Do this
to prevent damage to the seals in the pump
mechanism.
1.3 All Versions
Fully read this manual before the use of the instrument.
These instructions are for all DPI610E versions.

1.3.2 Installation
WARNING
Do not use tools on the
pressure indicator that might cause incendive
sparks - this can cause an explosion.
CAUTION
The pressure port on the
DPI610E and the metal body of the remote
sensor PM700E are connected directly to the
circuit earth (USB earth) of the DPI610E.
Note: Installation must be done by approved equipment
installation technicians. All local safety procedures and
installation standards must be obeyed. For example:
IEC/EN 60079-14, US National Electrical Code NFPA 70 or
Canadian Electrical Code (CEC).
Note: If necessary, add protection for indicators that can be
damaged when in use.
1.3.3 Batteries
WARNING
This instrument uses a Lithium-
ion (Li-ion) battery. The battery is not user
serviceable, and can explode if discarded in
fire. To prevent fire or explosion, do not short
circuit, compress and twist or disassemble.
Must be recycled or discarded correctly.
Replace only with Druck Approved part
number IS610E-BATTERY.
To prevent an explosion or fire, use only the
Druck specified power supply/charger (Part:
IO610E-PSU).
To prevent battery leakage/damage or too
much heat generation, only use the mains
power supply in the ambient temperature
range 0 to 40°C (32 to 104°F). The power
supply input range is 90 – 264 Vac, 50 to 60Hz,
300mA, installation category CAT II.
1.3.4 Accessory Socket
WARNING
No connection must be made to
an instrument with an independent power
source. The instrument has a single electrical
port for the connection of a remote sensor
PM 700E-IS. Refer to item 11 in Figure A2. For
the accessory socket entity parameters, refer
to Table A3.
1.3.5 Specific Conditions of Use
1. The equipment must be charged in a non-hazardous
area with an ambient temperature equivalent to 0°C ≤
Tamb ≤ +45°C.
2. The RS485 connection must only be connected to
certified passive accessories i.e. power derived from
the DPI610E-SPC/DPI610E-SHC only.
3. The USB connection is only for use in a non-hazardous
area.
