It is necessary to make sure the connecting socket
was not near water and humidity and the plug was
protected against humidity.
Avoid installing the appliance in wet shafts (risk of
short circuit, corrosion effects)!
Check the voltage. Technical data given on the type
label must correspond with electric network voltage.
Only use splash proof extension cables approved for
outdoor purposes.
Do not grab the feeder cable, plunge the pump, lift or
carry it while it is connected to the grid!
Check the cable and/or socket for damages before
the appliance putting into operation.
To avoid danger, a damaged mains supply pipe must
be replaced by the manufacturer. Do not under any
circumstances attempt any repair yourself.
Protect the feeder cable from excessive temperatures,
oil and sharp edges.
If the pump is in operation, neither people nor
animals can be present or plunged in the pumped
liquid (e.g. pools, cellars, etc.).
The pump must not in any case run without
fillings.
Do not leave the pump unattended while in operati-
on in order to prevent subsequent damages caused
by eventual malfunctions. Make sure to disconnect
the device from the grid if you do not plan on using it.
The temperature of the drained liquid must not
exceed +35 °C.
When using the pump for domestic water supply,
always observe the local regulations of water ma-
nagement authorities and the waste water drainage.
If the pump is used in ponds, wells, etc. and appropri-
ate pumping stations, standards valid for pumps in
the given country must unconditionally be observed.
Do not use pump at outside temperatures over 40 °C
or under 0 °C
In cold weather, the pumping body motor should not
be wrapped in a blanket or another piece of textile
with intent to prevent the water freezing.
The user is responsible to third parties if pump (dum-
ping stations, etc.) is used.
Requirements for operating staff 
The operating staff must carefully read the Opera-
ting Instructions before using the appliance.
Qualification  : Apart from the detailed instructions
by a professional, no special qualification is necessary
for appliance using.
Minimum age  : Persons over 16 years of age can
only work on the appliance. An exception includes
youngsters trained in order to reach knowledge
under supervision of the trainer during occupational
education.
Training  : Using the appliance only requires corre-
sponding training by a professional or the Operating
Instructions. No special training is necessary.
Emergency procedure
Conduct a first-aid procedure adequate to the injury
and summon qualified medical attendance as quickly
as possible. Protect the injured person from further
harm and calm them down. For the sake of eventual
accident, in accordance with DIN 13164, a workplace
has to be fitted with a first-aid kit. It is essential to
replace any used material in the first-aid kit immedia-
tely after it has been used. If you seek help, state the
following pieces of information::
1. Accident site
2. Accident type
3. Number of injured persons
4. Injury type(s)
