Intended purpose
This medical device is a pair of medical compression stockings
for the legs.
Indications
Varicosis, primary and secondary varicosis, varicose veins
during pregnancy, supporting sclerotisation therapy, following
surgical vein operations, thromboembolism, thrombophlebitis
(superficial) as well as condition after healed phlebitis,
deep leg vein thrombosis, condition after thrombosis,
postthrombotic syndrome, thrombosis prophylaxis for mobile
patients, chronic venous insufficiency (CVI), stages I – III CVI
according to Widmer or C1– C6 according to CEAP, ulcer
prevention, deep vein insufficiency, angiodysplasia, oedemata,
lymphoedemata, oedemata during pregnancy, post-traumatic
oedemata, post-operative oedemata, cyclically idiopathic
oedemata, lipoedemata from stage II, lip-lymphoedemata,
phlebo-lymphoedemata, congestion as a result of immobility
(arthrogenic congestion syndrome, pareses and partial pareses
of the extremity). Further indications: Post-burn condition,
scar treatment.
Contraindications
Absolute contraindications:
Advanced peripheral arterial occlusive disease, decompensated
heart failure, septic phlebitis, phlegmasia coeruela dolens.
Relative contraindications:
Distinct weeping dermatoses, intolerance of compression
stocking material, severe paraesthesia of the extremities,
advanced peripheral neuropathy (e.g. diabetes mellitus),
primary chronic polyarthritis.
Application risks/Important notes
