5. Clean the inner surface of the air filter housing with a
dry cloth.
6. Replace the air filter if it cannot be fully cleaned or if
it is damaged.
CAUTION:

7. Put the air filter in its initial position in the filter
housing. Make sure that the air filter, paper element,
prefilter and air filter holder are correctly installed on
the top of the air intake.
8. Install the air filter cover.
To examine the spark plug
CAUTION:

spark plug type can cause damage to the
product.

Examine the spark plug if the engine is low on
power, is not easy to start or does not operate
correctly at idle speed.
•
To decrease the risk of unwanted material on the
spark plug electrodes, obey these instructions:
a) Make sure that the idle speed is correctly
adjusted.
b) Make sure that the fuel type is correct.
c) Make sure that the air filter is clean.
•
If the spark plug is dirty, clean it and make sure that
the electrode gap is correct, refer to
on page 25 .
•
Replace the spark plug if it is necessary.
Hydraulic system
To do a check of the hydraulic hoses
•
Examine the hydraulic hoses regularly. Replace
worn or damaged hydraulic hoses.
WARNING:
The rubber in the hydraulic hoses wears with
time. Worn or damaged hydraulic hoses can
break and the hydraulic oil can cause injury.
If you cannot tell if the hydraulic hoses are
worn, always replace the hydraulic hoses.

To do a check of the hydraulic oil level
1. Tilt the seat to the front.
2. Read the hydraulic oil level on the hydraulic oil tank.
3. If the hydraulic oil level is too low, it is necessary
to replace the hydraulic oil. Refer to
hydraulic oil and hydraulic oil filter on page 20 .
4. The hydraulic oil level must be filled to the middle in
the indicator.

WARNING:

environment. Discard used chemicals at an
applicable disposal location.
Note:
It is faster to drain the hydraulic oil if the oil is
warm.
1. Stop the product on a level surface and remove the
ignition key.
2. Put a container below the hydraulic oil drain plug.
Refer to the label on the product where the oil drain
plug is located on your product.
