5. Remove the dipstick.
6. Examine the oil level on the dipstick.
7. If the oil level is low, fill with engine oil and do a
check of the oil level again. Refer to
engine oil and the oil filter on page 19 or the engine
manual for the correct type of oil.
To replace the engine oil and the oil filter
CAUTION:
manual of the propane engine before you do
maintenance the product.
If the engine is cold, start the engine for 1–2 minutes
before you drain the engine oil. This makes the engine
oil warm and easier to drain.
WARNING:
for more than 1–2 minutes before you drain
the engine oil. The engine oil becomes very
hot and can cause burn injuries. Let the
engine become cool down before you drain
the engine oil.
WARNING:

1. Put a container below the oil drain hose (A)on the
left side of the engine.

2. Remove the oil drain plug.
3. Remove the dipstick.
4. Drain the oil into the container (B).
5. Put a new gasket on the oil drain hose. Refer to
the service manual of the propane engine for correct
gasket. Attach the oil drain plug and tighten it.
6. Turn the oil filter counterclockwise to remove it.

7. Lightly lubricate the rubber seal on the new oil filter
with new oil.
8. To attach the oil filter, turn it clockwise by hand until
the rubber seal is in position, then tighten a half turn
more.
9. Fill with new oil as given in. Read the service manual
of the propane engine for type and quantity of oil.
10. Start the engine and let it run at idle speed speed for
3 minutes.
11. Stop the engine and make sure that the oil filter does
not leak.
12. Do a check of the oil level.
Note:
For safe disposal of used engine oil, Refer to
Disposal on page 24 .
To clean and replace the air filter
WARNING:
protection when you clean or replace the air
filter. Discard used air filters correctly. The
dust in the air filter is dangerous to your
health.
CAUTION:
when the air filter is removed.
1. Open the engine cover.
2. Loosen the knob (A) that holds the air filter cover.

3. Remove the air filter cover (B).
4. Remove the air filter holder (C), prefilter (D) and
paper element (E).
