Connecting the exhaust duct to the heater:
The Biege-Boy (Fig. F – part no. 30030-33000) is a sub-
stantial help when bending the stainless steel exhaust
duct and fitting the O-ring.
Push sealing plate (8) about 3 cm onto the exhaust duct (claw
must point to the sleeve on the heater). Insert thrust collar (17).
Replace O-ring (16) with the enclosed O-ring.
The enclosed 53 x 5 mm O-Ring may only be used
with heaters from model 01/88 onwards. The 35 x
5 mm O-ring (part no. 10030-25000) must be used for
older heaters. In this case consult your specialist dealer!
Stretch O-ring (16) and carefully insert over the cut end of the
duct and push the exhaust duct in t o the sleeve as far as it will
go.
Push the O-ring, the thrust collar and the sealing plate up to

Installation of the control panel
When using operating elements which are specific
to the vehicle or the manufacturer, the electrical con-
nection must be established in accordance with the Truma
interface descriptions. Any modification made to the Truma
components pertaining to this will lead to the invalidation of
the guarantee, as well as to the exclusion of any claims for
liability. The installer (manufacturer) is responsible for providing
instructions for use for the user as well as for identification
printing on the control panels!
In selecting a location, make sure that neither the front nor the
back of the control panel will be exposed to direct heat.
Length of connection cable 3 m. If required, a cable extension
of 5 m in length is available (which in combination can be
extended to 8 m – part no. 34300-01).
If the control panel can only be installed behind curtains or
similar location where temperature fluctuations may occur, it
is necessary to use a remote sensor for the room temperature
(part no. 34201-01).
If the control panels cannot be flush-mounted, Truma can
provide an on-surface frame (18), part no. 40000-52600,
as an accessory.

Plug the operating cable (19) into the control panel (20) and fit
on the rear cover cap (21) as a strain-relieving device.
Feed the cable through to the back, secure the control panel
with four screws (22) and fit the cover frame (23).
Truma will supply side parts (24) in 8 different colours
as accessories for finishing off the cover frames. Please
contact your dealer.

Route the control panel cable (19) to the appliance and
connect to the control electronics.
For strain relief, secure control panel cable (19) on the control
electronics by means of enclosed cleat (25).
Depending on the method of installation, the control
panel cable may be installed in the reverse direction,
i.e. connected first to the control electronics and secured by
means of the cleat. Then feed through to the control panel
and connect it to the latter.
230 V Electrical supply
The electrical connection must always be made by
an expert (in accordance with VDE 0100, part 721 or
prIEC 60364-7-721 in Germany, for example). The instructions
provided here should not be understood as a recommenda-
tion for amateurs to install the electrical supply line. They are
intended as additional information for the professional
electrician you have hired!
Connect to the mains supply via the 150 cm long silicone
cable by means of a fuse-protected line of at least 10 A (better
16 A).
Be sure to connect the wires according to the correct colours!
For maintenance and repair work a separator must be provid-
ed for all-pole separa-tion from the mains supply with at least
3.5 mm contact clearance.
Function test
Before operating for the first time, the appliance, ex-
haust ducting and gas-tightness of the whole installa-
tion (by the pressure drop method) must be checked by
an expert.
In order to avoid damage to the electronics, make sure that
the hot air hoses on the Trumavent fan are attached securely
and fastened with a screw.
Finally, test all functions of the appliance in accordance with
the operating instructions.
The operating instructions with filled-in guarantee certificate
must be handed to the vehicle owner.
