CHOICE OF INSTALLATION LOCATION
INTERNAL UNIT
• Install the Internal Unit on a solid wall free from vibrations, and not close to any of the room's entrances.
• Do not obstruct the inlet and outlet lines in order to
allow air to circulate freely within the room.
• Install the Internal Unit close to an electric outlet or to
a dedicated electrical connection.
• Always verify that the plug is accessible after the
assembly of the internal unit.
• Do not expose the appliance to direct sunlight.
• Install the appliance in a location that facilitates as
much as possible the connection of the Internal Unit
to the external one.
• Install the appliance in a location that facilitates the
discharge of condensate.
• Regularly verify that the appliance is operating
correctly.
• Install the Internal Unit in a position that facilitates the
access to the filters.
• Avoid installing the appliance in damp areas or close
to heat sources or inflammable gases.
• Verify that the installation meets the installation and space requirements shown in the drawing, leaving sufficient
space to allow the performance of ordinary maintenance operations around the appliance. Also verify that the
Internal Unit is installed at a distance of at least 2.3 metres from the floor.
• Install the Internal Unit at least 1 metre from other electronic appliance like television sets, radios, etc.
• Verify that the grids of the Internal Unit are installed at a distance of at least 50 cm from potential combustible
materials.
• Avoid installing the unit close to bathrooms, showers, laundries and swimming pools.
• To minimise vibrations and noise emissions, it is recommended that the coolant pipe be at least 3 m in length.
• If the internal unit is more than 5 m from the external unit, the coolant gas charge must be adapted accordingly.
EXTERNAL UNIT
• Do not install the External Unit close to heat sources or inflammable gases.
• Do not install the External Unit in particularly windy or
dusty locations.
• Do not install the External Unit in areas where there
is a frequent passage of people.
• Make sure that the noise produced by the appliance
and that the air flow does not cause disturbance to
neighbours.
• Avoid exposing the unit to direct sunlight (if
necessary, install a protection that does not obstruct
the air outlet).
• If the External Unit vibrates, fix it in place using
rubber gaskets.
• Do not cover the inlet and outlet grids of the External
Unit.
• Verify that the appliance is installed in compliance
with the installation and space requirements shown in
the drawing, leaving sufficient space to allow the air to
circulate. If the External Unit is installed on the floor,
make sure that the distance between the floor and the
base of the External Unit is at least 100 mm.
• Install the External Unit in a ventilated, safe and stable location suitable to sustain the weight and vibrations
produced by the unit.
• Avoid installing the unit close to bathrooms, showers, laundries and swimming pools.
