3.0 RULES OF USE
To obtain the best performance from the equipment, carefully follow
what is set out below.
The following maintenance, adjustment, and work preparation
operations must be performed with the tractor off and locked
fi rmly in position with the key removed from the dashboard
and the hoeing machine positioned on the ground.
3.1 ATTACHMENT TO THE TRACTOR
3.1.1 HOOKING
The hoeing machine may be attached to any tractor fi tted out with
a three- point universal joint.
The attachment to the tractor is a very dangerous phase.
Be very careful in following the instructions for the whole
operation.
The correct tractor/hoeing machine position, is determined by
placing the unit on an horizontal surface.
At this point, proceed as follows:
1) Hook the lifter bars onto the pins provided (1, Fig. 7) Block
with the snap split pins.
2) Hook the chains to the lifting bars of the tractor. Using the
tie-rods block the bars parallel to the tractor. This expedient
must be used to avoid any kind of horizontal movement of the
equipment.
3) Connect the third upper point (2, Fig. 7-8); the pin will be blo-
cked with the appropriate split pin; use the adjusting tie-rod (3
Fig. 8) to keep the equipment perpendicular to the ground.
4) Connect the Cardan shaft and make sure that it is perfectly
blocked on the power take-off. Check that the guard turns
freely and fi x it with the chain provided.
5) Check the length of the fertilizer descent pipes in order to
avoid bends and folds which can lead consequently to their
breaking. Adapt them, if necessary, by varying the lenght as
shown (Fig. 9).
Always follow the indications recommended by the Manufac-
turer for the transport of the hoeing machine.
