en - Conductivity display / Removing and reactivating the canister
The conductivity display shows the
conductivity of the fully demineralised
water, which is measured in ZS/cm
(microsiemens per cm). This enables
the softened water to be quality
controlled.
If the minimum water quality required is
not being achieved, the canister will
need to be reactivated.
^ Canister E 310: Canisters filled with
reusable resins must be sent to a
regeneration station for reactivation.
^ Canister E 318: Replace the resin.
Instructions on how to do this are
supplied with the E 316 Resin
Exchange Set.
Removing the E 310 or E 318 canister
^ Turn off the cold water stopcock.
^ Open the stopcock for manual AD
water (if present), or
^ Open the vent on the canister to
release the pressure.
Mop up any spilt water with a cloth.
^ On Miele washer-disinfectors
equipped with programme card
controls insert programme card
"Abpumpen/ETT" (Drain/ETT) to pos.
0 to release the build-up of pressure,
and then switch the machine on for a
few seconds.
^ Disconnect the hoses.
^ Up-end the canister and empty out
any residual water.
Sending off the E 310 canister (with
reusable resin)
^ Screw the plastic safety caps to the
"inlet" and "outlet" connection points
on the canister before sending it
away for regeneration.
To avoid the risk of frost damage
Fill the canister with approx. 500 g
cooking salt before sending it off. Secu-
re the lid with wire.
