Then check all movable parts. Rotatable parts must turn
easily but there must not be any play in the bearings.
Apply some oil to the swash plate (1), the pitch
compensator (2) and the tail rotor control bushing (3) so
that parts can be easily moved on the main or the tail rotor
shaft.
b) Installing the swash plate linkage rods
The installation position of the joint ball (1) must be
selected in such a way that the three linkage rods are
almost vertical to the servo levers (see ill. 5, pos. 3).
Once you have determined and checked the correct
distance (ca. 10.5 mm to the center of motion), screw the
joint ball onto the servo lever (2) in line with the illustration.
Extend the boring in the servo lever to 1.5 mm to turn the
screw in easier.
