4 SAFETy INSTrUCTIONS AND TIPS
4.1 general
The Babyphone is designed to detect sounds and is therefore commonly used
to monitor babies, young children and those requiring extra care. Please be
aware that this Babyphone is not a substitute for responsible, correct parental
supervision.
Check the functionality of the units each time before use. you are advised to
check the connection regularly during normal operation.
The use of the Babyphone is restricted to detecting sounds within a given
premises. Any other individuals who are or might be present in the room being
monitored should be notified of the presence of the Babyphone.
The use of the wireless room monitor is license-free. We cannot guarantee
that any interference caused by other wireless systems or atmospheric distur-
bances will not be picked up during transmission.
If the Babyphone is not in use, please switch off the device using the power
button. If the Babyphone will not be used for a longer period of time, discon-
nect the power adapter and remove the batteries.
4.2 multiple units
It is not possible to expand this Babyphone with multiple parent units or multi-
ple baby units. If you wish to monitor more than one baby, additional complete
units should be purchased. These can be used next to each other and will not
disturb each other.
4.3 range
The operating range of the Babyphone is approximately 50 metres indoors and
300 metres outdoors. Please be aware that large buildings, metal construc-
tions, atmospheric disturbances and other wireless devices can affect the
operating range.
4.4 Battery liFe span
Parent unit
Using fully charged rechargeable batteries with an output of 750 mAh, the
parent unit can be used for up to 24 hours without the power adapter.
Baby unit
If alkaline batteries are installed, the baby unit will function for approx.
24 hours without the power adapter.
