• Place the inner flange with the collar facing outwards onto the drive axle.
• Turn the inner flange until it snaps into place on the drive axle.
• Place the cutting or grinding disc (8) onto the inner flange.
Please note that the disc (8) must not touch the guard while rotating
later due to its shape. For cranked discs, the crank should point
away from the housing as the disc would otherwise grind against the
guard.
If the disc (8) has information on the direction of rotation, the direc-
tion on the disc must match the direction of rotation on the appliance
(arrow on guard (6) or on motor housing).
• Press the motor lock (1) and screw the outer flange onto the drive axle by
hand.
Depending on the thickness of the disc (8), the collar of the outer
flange must point inwards or outwards (see illustration).
When using discs with a thickness of 4 mm or more at the machine
connection, the outer flange is screwed on with the collar pointing
inwards as shown in the illustration.
For thinner discs, the flange must be screwed on with the collar
pointing to the outside.
• Tighten the outer flange with the motor lock (1) still pressed down using the
face pin wrench (9).
After attaching the disc, allow the appliance to idle for about a minute to test the disc (8). Do not stand or
allow other people close by to stand in the midst of the rotating disc. Damaged discs usually break during
this test phase.
If you notice strong vibrations, sparks or unstable operation during the test run, switch off the appliance
immediately and replace the disc.
