7. Assembly

Always remove the battery before attempting any installation or adjustment work or changing the disc or
other accessories. Inadvertent operation of the on/off switch (3) can otherwise cause injury.
a) Installing/adjusting guard
The guard must be securely attached to the tool in such a way that only the smallest possible part faces the
operator.
When installing the guard (6), no disc should be attached. Remove the disc before installation if necessary.
• Open the clamping lever on the guard (6).
• Install the guard (6) onto the flange on the housing as shown in the illustra-
tion.
• Turn the guard (6) to the desired position and close the clamping lever.
• To adjust the guard (6) later with the disc fitted, open the clamping lever
on the guard, turn the guard (6) to the desired position and retighten the
clamping lever.
b) Installing additional handle
The housing has three threads (2) for attaching the additional handle (7). This facilitates handling depend-
ing on the intended use (cutting or grinding) or for right-handed or left-handed users.
• Screw the additional handle (7) into the desired thread (2).
c) Attaching/replacing discs
Only use suitable discs with the correct inner and outer diameters. Do not use adapters or reducers
Only activate the motor lock (1) when the drive axle is not rotating.
Do not use worn, damaged or dirty discs.
