GENERAL SAFETY GUIDELINES
Smoke alarms are designed to help
you detect fire in good time. However,
they cannot extinguish a fire nor pre-
vent it starting, nor can they notify
the fire brigade. When danger is detec-
ted by the presence of combustion
gases, smoke alarms emit a loud alarm
sound to inform you of the danger.
Despite great care in the manufacture
of smoke alarms, it is also possible
that a fault may occur that prevents
the device from warning of a potential
fire, or from doing so in good time !
The usual precautions in relation to
fire, flammable materials and techni-
cal equipment must always be obser-
ved ! Please do not expose the device
to direct sunlight or extreme heat,
because it could damage the built-in
battery.
