Check the intake air

Gap X must measure:
– 1/4" (6 mm) for natural gas
– 3/16" (5 mm) for LP (propane) gas
^ To adjust the gap, loosen the lock
screw and slide the air sleeve in or
out as necessary.
^ Tighten the lock screw.
^ Use sealant to secure the jets and
prevent loosening.
^ Reassemble the cooktop in reverse
order.
The flame must not go out on the lowest
setting, or when the control is turned
quickly from a high to a low setting.
On the highest setting the flame must
have a distinctive and visible core.

Changing the needle valve
^ Using a small screwdriver, unscrew
needle valve g and remove with a
pair of needle nose pliers.
^ Insert the new valve and screw in
place.
^ Use sealant to secure the jets and
prevent loosening.

before reassembling the cooktop.
