2) Ist beim Weiterspielen der Endpunkt der Schleife
erreicht (Punkt b in Abb. 5), die Taste B/EDIT (4)
drücken. Der Abschnitt zwischen den Punkten
wird fortlaufend wiederholt. Alle drei Tasten A,
B/EDIT und RELOOP/EXIT blinken und im Dis-
play er scheint das Symbol RELOOP (M).
Hinweis: Die Schleife ist nicht auf einen Titel begrenzt,
d. h. Start- und Endpunkt können in unterschiedlichen
Titeln liegen. Die Schleife kann jedoch nicht über den
letzten Titel der CD bzw. des Ordners hinaus laufen.
3) Um die Schleife zu verlassen und den Titel weiter-
zuspielen, die Taste RELOOP/EXIT drücken. Im
Display erlischt RELOOP, die Tasten A, B/EDIT
und RELOOP/EXIT leuchten, um zu signalisieren,
dass eine Schleife gespeichert ist. Durch eine
Titelanwahl wird die Schleife ebenfalls verlassen.
Zum erneuten Starten der Schleife die Taste
RELOOP/EXIT drücken.

5.10 Replaying a loop
A certain section on the CD can be repeated as a
seamless loop as many times as desired.
1) Switch to replay with the button PLAY/PAUSE
(10). When the desired starting point of the loop
is reached (point a in fig. 5), press the button A
(3). The button A and the button RELOOP/EXIT
(5) will light up.

2) When the end of the loop is reached while the
replay is continued (point b in fig. 5), press the
button B/EDIT (4). The section between the
points will be continuously repeated. All three but-
tons A, B/EDIT and RELOOP/EXIT will flash and
the symbol RELOOP (M) will appear on the dis-
play.
Note: The loop is not limited to a single title, i. e. the
starting point and the end point may be in different
titles. However, the loop will not go beyond the last title
of the CD or of the folder.
3) To exit the loop and to continue the title replay,
press the button RELOOP/EXIT; RELOOP will
be extinguished on the display, the buttons A,
B/EDIT and RELOOP/EXIT will light up to indi-
cate that a loop has been memorized. The loop
will also be exited when a title is selected.
To restart the loop, press the button
RELOOP/EXIT.

4) Zum Speichern einer anderen Schleife den Start-
und den Endpunkt mit den Tasten A und B/EDIT
einfach neu festlegen.
Tipp: Der Start- und der Endpunkt einer Schleife lassen
sich auch auf 1 Frame genau festlegen:
1) Beim Erreichen des Startpunktes den Player auf
Pause schalten. Den Punkt genau mit dem Drehteller
(8) an fahren. Dann die Taste A drücken.
2) Jetzt entweder den Endpunkt direkt mit dem Drehtel-
ler anfahren oder erst die Wiedergabe starten, beim
Erreichen des Endpunktes wieder auf Pause schal-
ten und den Endpunkt genau mit dem Drehteller an -
fahren.
3) Nachdem der Endpunkt eingestellt ist, die Taste
B/ EDIT drücken. Die Schleife startet.
Eine gespeicherte Schleife wird gelöscht beim
— Anwählen eines anderen Ordners auf MP3-CDs,
— Öffnen der CD-Schublade,
— Ausschalten des Gerätes.
5.10.1 Schleife bearbeiten
Zum Modifizieren der Schleife lässt sich, während
sie abgespielt wird, ein Editiermodus aufrufen.
1) Zum Aufrufen des Editiermodus bei laufender
Schleife die Taste B/EDIT drücken. Die Tasten A
und RELOOP/EXIT erlöschen, die Taste B/EDIT
blinkt schnell. Das Display zeigt den Zeitindex (L)
des Endpunktes der Schleife und in der Textzeile
(K) wird „B-Edit" eingeblendet.
2) Die Schleife kann im Editiermodus folgenderma-
ßen bearbeitet werden:
— Mit dem Drehteller (8) lässt sich der Endpunkt
der Schleife verschieben.
— Mit den SKIP-Tasten (7) lässt sich die Länge
der Schleife verändern: Durch Drücken der
Taste
wird die Schleife verdoppelt, durch
Drücken der Taste
wird sie halbiert.
Die Änderung lässt sich direkt akustisch verfol-
gen.

4) To memorize another loop, simply redefine the
starting point and the end point with the buttons A
and B/EDIT.
Hint: The starting point and the end point of a loop can
also be precisely defined with an accuracy of 1 frame:
1) When the starting point is reached, set the player to
pause. Precisely go to the point with the jog wheel (8).
Then press the button A.
2) Now either go directly to the end point with the jog
wheel or start the replay first, when the end point is
reached set the player to pause again and precisely
go to the end point with the jog wheel.
3) After adjusting the end point, press the button
B/EDIT. The loop will start.
A memorized loop will be deleted
— when another folder is selected on MP3 CDs,
— when the CD tray is opened,
— when the unit is switched off.
5.10.1 Editing a loop
To modify the loop, an editing mode can be activated
while it is replayed.
1) To activate the editing mode, press the button
B/EDIT when the loop is replayed. The buttons A
and RELOOP/EXIT will be extinguished, the but-
ton B/EDIT will flash rapidly. The display will
show the time index (L) of the end point of the
loop; "B-Edit" will be inserted in the text line (K).
2) In the editing mode, the loop can be edited as fol-
lows:

5.11 Geschwindigkeit mit oder ohne
Tonhöhenverschiebung verändern
Die Geschwindigkeit lässt sich in drei Einstellberei-
chen mit dem Schieberegler PITCH CONTROL (22)
ändern: ±8 %, ±16 % oder ±100 % Abweichung von
der Normalgeschwindigkeit (+100 % = doppelte Ge -
schwindigkeit; -100 % = Stillstand).
Hinweis: Bei MP3-Betrieb lässt sich nur zwischen ±8 %
und ±16 % umschalten.
1) Damit die Einstellung des Reglers wirksam ist,
muss die Pitch-Funktion aktiviert sein: Bei akti-
vierter Pitch-Funktion (Grundeinstellung nach
dem Einschalten) leuchtet die Taste PITCH
ON/OFF (24).
2) Den Einstellbereich mit der Taste 8 %/ 16 %/
100 % (25) wählen; der Zu stand der Taste zeigt,
welcher Bereich ge wählt ist:
8 %

16 %
Taste leuchtet
100 % Taste blinkt
Bei jedem Umschalten des Einstellbereichs zeigt
die Textzeile (K) kurz den gewählten Bereich an.
3) Die Geschwindigkeit mit dem Regler PITCH
CONTROL verändern. Das Display zeigt die pro-
zentuale Abweichung (F) von der normalen
Abspielgeschwindigkeit an. Bei Mittelstellung des
Reglers bleibt die Geschwindigkeit unverändert.
4) Durch Aktivieren/ Deaktivieren der Pitch-Funktion
mit der Taste PITCH ON/OFF kann während des
Abspielens schnell zwischen eingestellter Ge -
schwindigkeit und normaler Abspielgeschwindig-
keit umgeschaltet werden.
5) Mit dem Verändern der Geschwindigkeit ändert
sich auch proportional die Tonhöhe („pitch"). Soll
dabei jedoch die Tonhöhe konstant bleiben, die
Taste MASTER TEMPO (26) drücken. Im Display

3) To memorize the modification and to exit the edit-
ing mode, press the button B/EDIT once again.
5.11 Changing the speed with
or without displacing the pitch
With the sliding control PITCH CONTROL (22), the
speed can be changed in three adjusting ranges:
±8 %, ±16 % or ±100 % deviation from the standard
speed (+100 % = double speed; -100 % = standstill).
Note: In the MP3 mode, switching over is only possible
between ±8 % and ±16 %.
1) Activate the pitch function so that the adjustment
of the control will become effective: When the
pitch function is activated, (basic setting after
switching on), the button PITCH ON/OFF (24) will
light up.
2) Select the adjusting range with the button
8 %/16 %/100 % (25); the condition of the button
will show the range selected:
8 %
button extinguished
16 %
button illuminated
100 % button flashing
Each time the adjusting range is switched over, the
text line (K) will shortly show the range selected.
3) Change the speed with the PITCH CONTROL.
The display will show the percentage deviation
(F) from the standard speed. With the control in
mid-position, the speed will remain unchanged.
