8.2 B-1000METDK
• The reflected light illuminator for the B-1000METDK is in-
stalled prior to shipment from the factory and requires no
special installation procedures.
Repeat steps from 2. to 12. of chapter 8.1 for the microscope
assembling.
8.2.1 Use of nosepiece adapter rings
The nosepiece can allocate objectives for brightfield/darkfield
observation (BD).
However, it is possible to install objectives for brightfield using
the adapter rings.
1. Screw the adapter ring into the empty hole of the nosepiece.
(Fig. 13-14)
2. Screw the objective into the adapter ring. (Fig. 15)
3. Perform the observation as usual.
• The brightfield objective cannot be used for darkfield,
therefore switching the mirror cube selector to "DF" could
bring to a completely dark image.
• Using the adapter rings it could happen an imperfect
parfocality between brightfield and brightfield/darkfield
objectives. This is not a defect.
