Brake Pedal - ( 1 7 )
The brake pedal is located at the left side of throttle pedal. Release
throttle pedal and apply brake pedal to reduce speed or stop the
vehicle.
Hand Brake - ( 1 8 )
This vehicle is equipped with an auxiliary hand brake, which is
located to the rear of the gear shifter. Pull the lever back to apply
the rear brakes and prevent the vehicle from rolling when parked
on an incline.
To release the hand brake, pull the handle lever slightly and
depress the release button on top of the level, then push the lever
to its original position.
Never depend on the transmission parking feature alone if the
vehicle is parked on a hill. Always apply the hand brake and
block the wheels on the downhill side of the vehicle to prevent
movement. It is recommended to park the vehicle on level ground.
