11.1 Cleaning the base unit
1. Clean the base unit 17 with a damp
cloth. You can also use a little detergent.
2. Wipe with a clean cloth with clear wa-
ter.
3. Do not use the base unit 17 until it has
completely dried.
11.2 Cleaning in the
dishwasher
The following parts are dishwasher-safe:

Mixing bowl 16

Blender jug 5
-
Blade assembly 7
-
Seal for blade assembly 6

Lid 2 of the blender jug
-
Seal 4
-
Lid of the refill opening 1

Dough hook 22

Whisk 21

The following parts must never be cleaned
in a dishwasher:

Base unit 17

Cover 8
NOTE: before cleaning the blender jug 5 in
the dishwasher, always remove the blade
assembly 7. Before every cleaning, re-
move the sealing 6 from the blade assem-
bly 7 (see "Using and removing the blade
assembly" on page 39).
11.3 Cleaning the accessories
1. Rinse the blender jug 5 or the mixing
bowl 16 with warm water and pour
away the water.
2. Remove the seal 4 from the lid 2 for
cleaning.
3. Clean all accessories by hand in a sink
with dishwater or in the dishwasher.
4. When cleaning by hand, rinse all parts
with clean water.
5. Allow all parts to dry completely before
reassembling, putting them away or re-
using them.
11.4 Cleaning the blender jug
1. Place the blender jug 5 onto the base
unit 17.
2. Fill it approximately half-full with warm
water containing detergent.
3. Put on the lid 2.
4. Check that the speed control 12 is set
to 0.
5. Plug the mains plug 14 into a suitable
wall socket.
6. Set the speed control 12 to 1.
7. Press the Turbo button 13 briefly sever-
al times.
8. Set the speed control 12 to 0 to switch
the device off.
9. Pull out the mains plug 14 before clean-
ing the device.
10.Remove the blender jug 5 from the base
unit 17.
11.Pour out the dishwater.
12.Rinse the blender jug 5 under clear wa-
ter.
13.Allow the blender jug 5 to dry com-
pletely before you use it again.
11.5 Storage
• Allow all parts to dry completely before
placing them in storage.
• Store the device so that it is protected
against dust and dirt and out of the
reach of children.
• Figure B: you can wind up the power
cable in the cable spool 24 on the un-
derside of the base unit 17.
