Inserting and replacing the batteries
Battery operation
4 x type AAA batteries (1.5 V DC)
Please note:
For the greatest efficiency, and in order to protect your de-
vice, please use only the batteries specified.
Inserting and replacing the batteries
• Open the battery compartment cover.
• Insert the batteries as shown,
ensuring correct polarity.
• Close the battery compartment.
Change the batteries in the event of the following:

• The display screen is dim.
• The display screen fails to light up.
Please note:
• Do not mix new and old batteries. Do not mix different
types of batteries.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire. The batteries may ex-
plode or leak.
• Remove the batteries if the device is expected to be out
of service for some time.
• Empty batteries are damaging to the environment. Do
not dispose of them in household waste.
• Dispose of batteries in accordance with your local recy-
cling regulations.
