B. WORKING WITH HEDGE TRIMMER
WARNING!
Before starting your work, make sure no hidden objects, such as wire fences, power
cable.
CAUTION!
The hedge trimmer is capable to cut branches with diameter up to 24 mm.
Cutting blade angle adjustment
• Stop the engine and set the power switch (14) to the "OFF" position.
• Press and hold the lock lever of the hedge trimmer attachment.
• Press the angle adjustment lever for adjustment. (Fig. 8a)
• After adjustment, release the lock lever and adjustment lever and make sure the cutting head
is locked.
Ground clearance (Fig. 8b)
• Stop the engine and adjust the cutting blade angle that appropriate to your work.
• Remove any new shoots or woody weeds that are incapable to the hedge trimmer.
• Remove the blade cover before starting the engine.
• Adjust the cutting blade angle that is parallel to the ground.
• Cutting close to ground from standing position (e.g. low shrubs).
Vertical trimming (Fig. 8c)
• Stop the engine and adjust the cutting blade angle that appropriate to your work.
• With using manual pruner, cut and remove branches that exceeded the cutting capacity of
the tool.
• Remove the blade cover before starting the engine.
• Swing the cutting blade from the bottom of the hedge upwards in an arc, then lower the
nose of the blade, move along the hedge and then swing the blade up again in an arc.
Horizonal trimming (Fig. 8d)
• Stop the engine and adjust the cutting blade angle that appropriate to your work.
• With using manual pruner, cut and remove branches that exceeded the cutting capacity of
the tool.
• Remove the blade cover before starting the engine.
• Slightly tilt the cutting side of the blade at an angle around 10°.
