• Cutting above obstacles - to cut branches that are overhanging obstacles, such as rivers or
lakes, adjust the tool angle depends on the position and distance of the branch. (Fig. 7d)
• Maintain firm and steady pressure on the product while cutting. Do not force the tool
through the wood.
• CAUTION! The weight of the tool may be changed unexpectedly when the tool just cut
through the wood.

Techniques
• Under cut - to avoid tearing the bark, kickback or pinching the bar when cutting thick
branches, always start with relieving cut technique on the underside of the branch. Apply
the cutting attachment and pull it acorss the bottom of the branch until the blade nose (a),
then perform cross-cut (b). (Fig. 7e)
• For branch diameter > 10cm - first perform undercut (c), then cross-cut (d) at a distance of
about 25cm (10") from the trunk, so that the branch is remove. Then a final cut (e) to
remove the remaining stub.
