3.1- General safety warnings
• Before using this product, read and understand all the following safety instructions. Become
familiar with the controls and the proper use of the product.
• Any other use different from that stated in this manual may cause damage to the product and
present a serious hazard to the user or any other person.
• The safety precautions and instructions given in this manual are unable to cover in detail all the
conditions and situations that may arise. The operator and/or user must use common sense and
caution when operating the product especially for any matters that are not referred in the
above.
• Do not modify this machine.
• The use of this product by children is prohibited.
• Only well-instructed adults should operate this product.
• This product is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capacities, OR persons without experience or knowledge, unless they are
supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or given prior instructions concerning the
use of the product.
• Children, pets and bystanders should be at a minimum of 15m away when you start or operate
the product. If anyone enters the working area, stop the engine.
Beware of overhead power lines. Keep away.
Never touch power supply or telephone lines.
Keep a minimum distance of 15 m.
Beware of overhead branches being cut, as they may fall on you.
CAUTION! Flying debris
Warning! Projection hazard (e.g. stones or other objects...)
Keep persons (esp. children) and animals away from product and working
area.
WARNING! Injury and cutting hazard
Keep all parts of your body away from the sharp blades or cutting line.
Always wear protection gloves for any intervention on the tools.
CAUTION! Beware of kickback
Kickback may occur when the running blade comes into contact with a hard
object.
Ensure that you retain a firm grip with both hands at any sign of such
kickback, pay attention and retain a firm stance to avoid injuries!
WARNING! Hot surface.
Burning hazard. The exhaust and other parts of the engine will get very hot
during use, do not touch.
Do not expose to weather conditions (ex.: rain, snow ...) or to moisture.
Do not use nor leave outdoor during weather conditions (e.g. rain, snow...)
Do not leave a running machine unattended.
Do not leave the machine until it is completely stopped.
Only use gasoline/oil mixture with a ratio of 25:1.
Always switch the product off and let it cool down, before refuelling it.
