Punching holes
• Remove the bending die plate (66) and the angle reading device (69) from the base body.
• Firstly set the die in the receiving holes in the base body. Then set the punch with the neoprene stripper and
with the pressure piece, if necessary, in the hydraulic piston.
• Secure the punch with the locking screw (55).
When taking the punch out only undo the locking screw (55) as far as it's necessary to remove
the punch. If the screw is screwed out too far it can be shorn off and damage can be done to
the piston and the seals.
Always take the fixing key out of the base body.
• Set the height and length stop with the scale provided in accordance with the required hole pattern.
• Mark the hole pattern by centre-punching on the conductor rail.
• Place the stamp's centring point in the center-punching mark.
• The hole-punching procedure is completed when a noticeable noise signals that the material has been
breached.
Don't move the punch too deep inside the die. This could damage the tool.
Slightly oil the punch to facilitate the withdrawal of it.
Always work with sharp tools. Dull tools increase the requirement for force and shorten the
service life of the machine and pump.
