Adjusting the flow of the protective gas.
During operation, the protective gas flow in the
furnace must establish as indicated.

Fig. 35
1 Gas flow directly after starting
2 Gas flow during the cooling phase
To ensure proper flow, the output pressure at the
gas cylinder during operation must be 1 bar.
When the value strongly deviates after starting:
▷ Readjust the operating pressure to 1 bar during
operation (see figure 34).
6.2.3 Post-preparations for the Sintering
When the sintering program is over, a tempera-
ture of 50 °C is indicated and the compressed-air
cooling is stopped.
▷ Switch the furnace off.
▷ Using the bowl/cover tongs, carefully remove
the protective-gas retort out of the furnace
compartment and place it down on a non-flam-
mable surface.
NOTE:
Tilting off or falling down of the sintering bowl,
due to its high weight.
▷ Apply bowl/cover tongs ensuring a firm and
good grip.

▷ Remove the sintered frame.
Before continuing:
▷ Blast off the sintered frame with commercially
available aluminium corundum (50 - 110 μm).
▷ Evaluate the sintering result with the Ceramill
Sintron sintering chart.
6.3
Finalizing the Sintering Program
When the sintering program is over, a tempera-
ture of 50 °C is indicated and the compressed-air
cooling is stopped.
▷ Switch the furnace off.
▷ Shut the main valve of the gas cylinder.
▷ When not using for longer periods, leave the
Argovent components in the furnace.
