1.3 GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The "Q.R.K. Quick Release Kong",
hereinafter referred to as "Q.R.K.", is
an anchoring device with a breaking
strength that exceeds 120 kN (12,240
kgf), that conforms to the EN 795:12
standard, classes A and B and the CEN/TS
16415:2012 technical specification, for use
by 12 people simultaneously (1,450 kg),
and that can be opened while under load.

textile ends. Metal ends pose a problem
in that, if / when they are released and
allowed to fall to the ground, they could
get damaged and be unusable and
dangerous. When the Q.R.K. is used
with ropes with textile ends, they can be
released without damage to the rope, and
immediately used again in subsequent
operations.
Before re-use ropes make any checks
required by the pertinent user's guide.
