What to do if your refrigerator does not work
Check if:
• there is no power to the appliance,
• the main fuse box in the house is switched off,
• the thermostat is set to the "•" position,
• the socket is not powerful enough. To check this, plug in another appliance that works
into this socket.
What to do if your refrigerator works below optimum efficiency:
Check:
• You have not overloaded the appliance,
• The doors are properly closed,
• there is no dust on the condenser,
• whether there is sufficient space around the rear and side walls.
if there is noise;
• The cooling gas which circulates in the refrigerator circuit may make some noise (a
bubbling sound) even when the compressor is not running. Do not worry, this is quite
normal. If these sounds are different check if;
• the appliance is properly level
• anything is touching the back.
• any objects on the appliance are vibrating
If your refrigerator is operating too loudly;
Normal noises;
Cracking noises (ice cracking):
• During automatic defrosting.
• When the appliance has cooled or warmed up (due to expansion of the material of the
appliance).
Short cracking: Noise heard when the thermostat activates or deactivates the compressor.
Compressor noise: Normal noise from the motor. This noise means that the compressor
is operating normally; the compressor can cause more noise for a little while when switched
on.
