Now fit the main bracket (item 1 – TB0183 Part 1) to the licence plate bracket using the four M6 x
6mm long button head bolts (item 3), as shown in picture 8.
With the OEM licence plate hanger off the bike, remove the bolt that secures the licence plate
illuminator in place, as shown in picture 9.
With this clear, access can be gained to the two bolts that screw into the undertray plastic. Remove
these bolts, as shown in picture 10.
On the reverse side, remove the four bolts that fix both parts together, as shown in picture 11.
Gently pull the two parts away from each other, feeding the wiring out carefully, as shown in
picture 12.
To remove the indicators, remove the nut and bolt on each indicator mount, and then twist the
indicator to allow the prong to come out of the hole and gently pull the indicator clear, as shown in
picture 13. Please note, the indicators can only be fully removed following the next steps,
depending on what indicators are to be used.
If fitting R&G Mini Indicators
To fit the R&G Mini Indicators, the wiring will need to be cut and shut in order to connect the
indicators. To do this, take the rear indicator/no. plate light wiring loom and cut through all the
wires about 50mm from the indicators/licence plate illuminator. (The indicators can now be fully
removed). Strip the ends of the six wires on the connector end and fit the bullet connectors supplied
(item 8) to the four wires for the indicators in order to match them to the bullet connectors on the
R&G Mini Indicators.
If fitting R&G Mini Indicators with bulbs, the black wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the
blue wire on both indicators and the black/white wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the red
wire on the right and light blue wire on the left OEM wiring.
If fitting R&G Aero Indicators with LED's the yellow wire on the Aero Indicators connects with the
blue wire on both indicators and the black/white wire on the Mini Indicators connects with the red
wire on the right and light blue wire on the left OEM wiring.
Fit one length of heatshrink supplied (item 10) to protect the indicator wiring before feeding the
wires through the hole in the indicator adaptor (item 4 – I0041) and then through the larger hole in
the tail tidy, as shown in picture 14. Feed the flanged nut over the wiring and tighten onto the
threaded boss of the indicator, as shown in pictures 14.
Fit the bullet connectors together with those added to the wiring connector, ready to fit and secure
the wiring neatly together with the cable ties & self-adhesive cable clips supplied.
There should be one blue and one yellow wire remaining free from the white connector. These can
be connected to the licence plate illuminator, with the blue wire on the loom connecting to the
black wire on the licence plate illuminator and the yellow wire on the loom connecting to the red
wire on the licence plate illuminator.
If fitting OEM Indicators
To fit the OEM Indicators, some of the wiring will need to be cut and shut in order to connect the
licence plate illuminator.
First, remove the Phillips screw that secures the indicator lens in place, before unclipping the lens.
Gently pull the bulb out and disconnect the wiring connectors. We suggest making a note of the
wiring colour on each connector to aid re-fitting. These can now be pulled through and out of the
indicator body.
Repeat this process for the other indicator.
