8. Assembling the Model

Before assembling the model, please read each individual section carefully. The construction stages are almost always illustrated for better
understanding.
Please note that the numbers in the text always refer to the components in the illustration to the right.
For design and colour of your model, use the illustration, e.g. on the packaging for reference. Design and colour deviations in these operating
instructions are possible. The figures in these operating instructions service illustrative purposes only.
Only carry out the steps described in the different sections if you have completely understood the procedure and know exactly what to observe.
The model is suitable both for a combustion engine and for a strong electrical drive with 6 LiPo cells. Install at your own discretion to match the
motor you use.
Required accessories are not included with the kit and must be purchased separately according to the drive used. For notes on recommended
motor sizes, see chapter „Technical Data" at the end of these operating instructions.
a) Assembly of the Wings
For reasons of stability, both wing halves must be permanently glued together.
Open the receptacles of the wing plug connection at the ribs of both
wings.
Push the hard-wood wing connector into the receptacles of both wings
(figure 1, item 1). This must be possible without any great force to apply
a sufficient amount of glue later. If required, rework with a suitable file
and sandpaper.
Now push the two wings together dry and check if any present gap
between the wings must be reworked with sandpaper.
If everything is perfect, both wings must be glued together with 30-
minute epoxy-resin glue (figure 1, item 2).
Put glue into the wing plug shafts and onto the ribs and push the two
wing halves together.
Find a suitable support for this and fasten the two wing areas with
adhesive tape until the glue hardens so that the two wind halves are
pulled together.
Observe a clean, straight alignment of the ribs. Adhesive residue must
be removed at once.
Then the wing dowels must be glued in with 30-minute epoxy-resin
(figure 1, item 3).
For this, feel for the pre-drilled holes in the cut-out part of the wing and open them with a cutter knife. Insert the dowels dry and install the wing on the fuselage
provisionally.
When everything is seated perfectly the dowels can be glued in. Adhesive residue must be removed at once.
Open the holes for the servo extension cables in the rib areas with a cutter knife (figure 1, item 4). For more information on this, see the following chapter.
