g) Installing the Rudder Unit
Then push the rudder unit into the fuselage opening from the rear (figure
5a) and place it centrally on the fuselage.
Measure the precise position of the rudder unit to the elevator (see
figure 5b).
Important:
The accuracy of this work considerably influences the flight
properties.
When everything is measured perfectly, use a pen to mark the precise
position of the rudder unit and the fin (figure 5a, item 2).
Then pull it out of the fuselage again and remove the iron-on film carefully
with a cutter knife within the marks.
Then you can attach the rudder unit permanently to the fuselage with
30-minute epoxy glue.
Align the rudder unit to the fuselage as illustrated in figures 4b, 5a
and 5b.
