5.1
Observing the requirements for the
product's installation site
The product can be installed in flats, cellar rooms, storage or
utility rooms, and in attics.

Observe the current applicable national construction reg-
ulations.
▶
Ensure that the installation site is dry and is frost-proof
throughout.
▶
When determining the installation site, take into consider-
ation the product's sound power level and sound reduc-
tion index.

Take into consideration the diameter of the pipe and the
minimum clearances to ceilings, windows and corners.

5.2
Installing the pipe from the pre-installation
set

Insert the pipe from the pre-installation set into the des-
ignated position on the external wall.

In doing so, observe the set-up instructions that are
enclosed with the product.

Ensure that the power supply cable and the control
cable are not damaged when you drill through the wall.

Installing the outer hood

Install the outer hood and its wall-mounting frame.

enclosed with the product.

Use suitable rawl plugs and flat-head screws.

Preparing the wall-mounting frame

Mark the positions for the four drill holes.

Take into consideration the dimensions for the opening
for installing the electrical connections and for setting
up the wall-mounting frame.

Take into consideration that the power supply cable will
need to be laid correctly under the plaster.

Ensure that the power supply cable and control cable
are not damaged.

Drill the holes into the wall.
