Introduction
Thank you for choosing a Metz product.
We are delighted to welcome you as a
customer. You will of course be impatient
to start using the flash unit.
However, it is worthwhile reading the ope-
rating instructions and learning how to use
the unit correctly.
The 44AF-1 flash unit is built in six diffe-
rent versions and accordingly suitable for:
• Digital Canon cameras (EOS and
PowerShot) with TTL-, E-TTL- and
E-TTL-II - flash metering.
• Digital Nikon cameras with TTL and
i–TTL flash control.
• Olympus - Digital cameras with TTL flash
control and flash socket system, as well as
the compatible digital cameras from
Panasonic and Leica.
• Digital Pentax cameras with TTL or P-TTL
flash control and system flash shoe.
• Digital Samsung cameras with A-TTL.
• Digital Sony reflex cameras with TTL,
TTL preflash and ADI metering.
The flash unit is not suitable for use
with other brands of cameras!
