5.2 Installation and connection
•
Unpack the unit and remove all packing material.
•
Place the unit on a flat, stable surface that can support its weight and prevents the unit
from tipping.
•
Never place the unit on a flammable surface (e.g. tablecloth, carpet, etc.).
•
Do not place the unit near an open flame, electric oven, oven, or other heat source.
•
Avoid places where water is carried.
•
Remove the cover, then remove the basket, oil chamber and remaining equipment from
the unit.
•
Remove the fuse box from the unit by raising it until a „click" sound is heard.
•
Grab the oil chamber with both hands and carefully remove from the unit.
•
Wash the cover, oil chamber, basket and casing with a mild washing-up liquid. Take
care to ensure no water gets into the fuse box and electrical systems. Dry the unit with
the utmost care!
•
The outlet to which the unit is connected must be secured to a minimum of 16A.
Connect the unit directly to a grounded socket; do not use extension cords nor
multiple-plug sockets.
•
Place the unit so that the plug is easily accessible, so that if necessary the unit can be
quickly disconnected from its power source.
