5. Performance data for
convectors
5.1 General
The Ascotherm
heating and cooling capacities have be-
en measured and ascertained according to
DIN  EN  16430 "Fan-assisted radiators, con-
vectors, and trench convectors":

requirements"

Part 2: "Test method and rating of the hea-
ting capacity"

Part 3: "Test method and rating for cooling
capacity"
We recommend configuring the Asco-
®
therm
  eco convectors in the average speed
range. When configuring output, the sound
power levels specified need to be taken into
account (see section 4).
Furthermore, it should be noted that the ma-
ximum heating/cooling capacities depend on
the maximum flow rate (water mass flow) of
the control valve used.

6. Acoustic power level of
convectors
6.1 General
The acoustic power levels have been deter-
mined using EN 3744 as a reference.
According to DIN  EN  16430 (Fan-assisted
radiators, convectors, and trench convectors
– Part 1: Technical specifications and require-
ments), the sound pressure level can be de-
fined with a room absorption of 8 dB(A). This
corresponds to a distance of 2 m to the test
item, a room volume of 100 m³, and a rever-
beration time of 0.5 s.

The acoustic power and sound pressure
levels can differ from the values measu-
red in the testing lab on account of the
installation situation and the acoustic
properties of the room.
