ROGRAMMING
From the FLUSH VALVE TIME screen (or the ASSIGNING
MANIFOLD screen if flush valves are not needed), press the
F W D / A C C E P T
SPEED/FLOWRATE screen.
The BrightStar software allows the user to program each pump
with a Flowrate and/or a Pump Speed (see page 26).
FLOWRATE:
This is useful as it enables the user to program the unit with a
specific dosage instead of a run time. In turn, the unit will be
able to supply accurate information on the volume of product
dispensed by the unit, as well as run time and cycles
performed.
If a flow rate is being set, the pump speed will normally be left at
its default setting (80% for BSL units, 100% for BSHL), unless
the pump is being used with a thick product. In this case the
pump speed of the BSL units can be reduced in order to ease
the strain on the pump.
Setting:
While at the PUMP SPEED screen, press the
will run the pump for 1 min. During this time, the flowrate of the
pump (volume dispensed in 1 min) can be measured.
PRIME
Press the key to display the SET FLOWRATE screen.
UP DOWN
Use the ,
flowrate that you have just measured, and the date. Press
FWD/ACCEPT
key to confirm and move on to the next pump.
Once all of the pump speeds/flowrates have been set, press
SEE/JUMP
the key to move onto the PROGRAM SETTINGS
screen.
Note:
If the flowrate is re-calibrated at a later date, the unit will
automatically re-calculate and adjust the pump run time, so the
correct dosage is dispensed over all 20 programs.
