Intended use
The backwater lifting station has been designed for pumping faecal and faecal-free wastewater. The assemblies for the
pumps, the level measurement and the motor-driven backwater flap are installed in the drain body.
In normal operation, the wastewater passes through the backwater pumping station to the sewage channel without any
backwater occurrence.
If the wastewater from the sewer system backs up as far as the backwater pumping station, this is detected by an optical
probe (backwater flap). The motor-driven backwater flap is closed. The wastewater in the building then collects in the drain
body of the backwater pumping station.
The switching signals of the level measurement in the tank are processed electronically in the control unit. An optical probe
(pump) is used for level detection. Once the relevant level has been reached, pumping via the drain body of the backwater
pumping station, against the incoming backwater, is activated.
In the event of a power outage, the functional reliability of the motor-driven backwater flap can be ensured for a period of
approx. 2 hours by means of battery mode. After this period, the backwater flap is closed to protect the building.

Product description
The backwater lifting station is delivered with wastewater pumps of different capacities.
In normal operation, the wastewater passes through the backwater lifting station to the sewage channel without any backwa-
ter occurrence.
If the wastewater from the sewage system swells back as far as the backwater lifting station, this will be detected by an opti-
cal probe. The motor-driven backwater flap is closed. The wastewater from the building is then collected in the wastewater
tank.
The switching signals of the sensors for the level in the wastewater tank are processed electronically in the control unit.
A pressure sensor is used as a level sensor. Pumping is activated when the fill volume has been reached. Depending on
the level reached, this is carried out by either one or both pumps. The water is pumped off either via the backwater level or
directly downstream of the closure flaps.
In the event of a power outage, the functional reliability of the motor-driven backwater flaps can be ensured for a period of
approx. 2 hours by means of battery mode. After this period, the backwater flaps are closed to protect the building.
Different elements of the chamber system (010-701) can be mounted on the wastewater tank. Together with the functional
element mounted on it, the wastewater tank then represents the base element of the chamber system.
