Unpacking the Appliance

1. Remove the appliance from its packaging.
2. Remove all packaging material, such as foils, filling
material, cable ties and cardboard packaging.
3. Check the scope of delivery for completeness.
4. If the contents of the packaging are incomplete or if
damage can be detected, do not operate the appliance.
Return it to the dealer immediately.
5. There may still be dust or production residues on the
appliance. We recommend that you clean the appliance
as described under "Cleaning".

Warnings for the Use of the Appliance

WARNING: Risk of Burns!
• Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
• Always make sure that the lid is firmly closed.
• The appliance housing becomes hot during operation,
do not touch it and allow the appliance to cool down
before putting it away.
CAUTION:
• Always switch off the appliance before removing it
from the base! The contacts on the base are not suita-
ble for disconnecting the power supply.
• Make sure that the appliance is switched off when you
put it back on the base!

Notes for Use

Mains Cable
Unwind the required mains cable completely from the base
part of the base. Please pay attention to the routing of the
mains cable.
Electrical Connection
1. Check that the mains voltage you want to use matches
that of the appliance. You will find the information on the
type plate.
2. Only connect the appliance to a properly installed protec-
tive contact socket.
Switching the Appliance On / Off
• Switch on (switch position: I):
Switch on the appliance with the switch. The control
lamp lights up.
• Switching off (switch position: O):
Switch off the appliance with the switch. The control lamp
goes out.
