Fitting instructions
1)
Disassemble the bumper and permanently remove the metal buffer beam. Disassemble the exhaust at
the bottom of the vehicle.
2)
Insert the supporting arms (1) (at the left) and (2) (at the right) in the chassis beams at the back through
the openings that appear after having removed the buffer beam, points (A) match the provided drillings
in the bottom of the chassis beam. Insert the bolts and the washers but do not tighten.
3)
Place the mounting pieces (3) (at the left) and (4) (at the right) with the points (D) against the rear plate
of the coachwork matching the provided screw-thread drillings, insert the bolt and the washer but do not
tighten. The points (B) and (C) match the drillings in the supporting arms (1) and (2).
4)
Place the tow bar with points (B) and (C) between the supporting arms matching the drillings (B) and
(C), insert the bolts and tighten everything
5)
Place the fixing plates T45 (800008) or the pedestal of the removable ball T36 (fig.1) on points (*') and
place the mounting pieces (5) on the outside of point (E) matching the opening in the towing ring. Place
the filling up pieces (6) between the towing ring and the mounting plates (5) and insert the bolt. Put the
socket holder (-p) and the security shackle (-s) by the points (*'), tighten everything firmly (see tension).
6)
Make an incision at the bottom of the bumper according to drawing enclosed (fig.2).
7)
Assemble the ball (-k) (fig.1), insert the bolts and tighten firmly.
Disassemblage of the bumper
- 2 small bolts at the entrance of the trunk
- 2 plastic push rivets at the bottom of the bumper
- 2x2 small screws at the wheel casings
- detach sides to the outside
Note
Please consult your cardealer or owners manual for the maximal permissable towing mass.
Remove any bitumen coating on the fastening position for the tow bar.
When drilling, be carefull not to damage any brake lines, electrical wiring or fuel lines.
