Charging the battery

Before the appliance is used for the first time, it

should be charged for approx. 16 hours!
1. Connect to the mains power supply (Fig. 2)

3. Place the appliance in the charging stand. The charging
process starts.
·
Ensure that the appliance is switched off. Switch
position 0 must be visible (Fig. 3ⓑ), otherwise the
battery will not charge.
·
During charging, the charging indicator (F) on the
charger is illuminated.
·
Recommendation: the battery should only be
recharged when the performance of the appliance
has deteriorated considerably. However, charging
the battery for longer than the specified length of
time will not cause any damage.
·
After the appliance has been removed from the
charger, the display goes out.
It should take approx. 12 hours for the appliance
·
to charge to full capacity.
Battery operation
1. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch and switch
off after use (Fig. 3ⓐ/ⓑ).
·
The appliance may be operated for up to 2 hours
with the battery fully charged. This capacity is
attained after approx. 5 - 10 charging cycles.
·
In case of insufficient maintenance of the
blade set, the operating time can be reduced
considerably.
Operation
Cutting with the attachment comb
The appliance can also be operated with an attachment comb.
f The attachment comb has 5 detent positions for adjusting
the cutting length.
f The further the attachment comb is pushed onto the blade
set, the shorter the cutting length.
The cutting length can be adjusted from 3 mm
(Fig. 5ⓐ) to 6 mm (Fig. 5ⓑ).
Attaching/removing the attachment comb
1. Slide the attachment comb onto the blade set (Fig. 4ⓐ) in
the direction of the arrow until it locks in place.
2. The attachment comb can be removed by pushing it in the
direction of the arrow (Fig. 4ⓑ).
