6.9 EXTERNAL AIR INTAKE AND AIR SUPPLY INTO ANOTHER ROOM
The ESTUCS600 and ESTUCS900 cassette fan coil is provided with three pre-arranged
holes having diam. 150 mm (point B) for the air supply into an adjacent room and with
one pre-arranged hole with diam. 100 mm for the external air intake (not available in the
ESTUCS/H 600 and ESTUCS/HM 600 models). See point A – Fig. 25a and 25b.

Two collars are supplied as standard:
•
n. 1x98 mm diam. collar for the external air intake: the external air through this hole
goes into a cavity of the air inlet plenum and it blows out from it through the slots on
the four sides, mixing perfectly with the return air. This particular system avoids that
the external air is directly conveyed to the air outlet grilles. It is necessary to install a
filter and/or a damper at the external air inlet in case of entering air at low temperature.
If an external air intake is connected, it is important to open the passage on the plastic
frame (Fig. 25a, 25b point A);
•
n. 1x148 mm diam. collar for the air supply: after breaking down the pre-arranged hole
on one of the three available sides and after removing the insulation material it is pos-
sible to fix this collar with four self tapping screws;
In case of air supply into an adjacent room it is necessary to proceed as follows:
- close the air outlet grills at the same side of the opening used;
- install an air grill on the wall or on the door between the two rooms treated with the
same cassette unit.
7. OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE
7.1 OPERATIONAL LIMITS
•
This unit is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been
given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible
for their safety.
