CAUTION: Before removing the blender jug, the power plug of the appliance must be

unplugged from the socket.
• CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
ATTENTION:
o
The parts of the blender must not be cleaned in the dishwasher.
When cleaning, do not fill the container with boiling water. The bearing on the
knife assembly is coated with a permanent lubricant; Boiling water can shorten
the lifespan of the blender.
The blade is very sharp, please handle with care.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, never immerse the motor unit in water to
clean it.

NOTE: Before cleaning, make sure that the power plug of the appliance has been
removed from the socket and that the "speed adjustment knob" is turned to the
"OFF" position.
o
The automatic cleaning function can help to clean the blender and the blade assem-
bly easily, quickly and completely safely. Follow the steps below to run the automatic
cleaning function.

After using the appliance, replace the blender jug and pour approx. 400 to 500 ml of
warm water into the blender jug.
o
Turn the "speed adjustment knob" to the "ON" position; the indicator lights on the
three buttons flash. Then press the "Auto clean" button for automatic cleaning; the
corresponding indicator light lights up continuously and the appliance starts the au-
tomatic clean process.
The "Auto clean" programme runs for 45 seconds at various speeds and intervals.

When the cleaning process is finished, the appliance stops automatically and the in-
dicator lights on the three buttons flash again.

Unplug the appliance from the socket, remove the blender jug from the motor unit,
then rinse it under running water.
o
Alternatively, you can pour 1 to 2 cups of warm soapy water into the container and
use the pulse function "P" to blend for a few seconds at high speed. Remove the
container from the base and rinse with water.
o
Wipe the outer surface of the motor unit with a damp cloth; do not use abrasive
cleaners. Never immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids or solutions to clean
it.

Dry all parts before reattaching. Store the appliance with the lid on but not com-
pletely closed to allow air to circulate and to prevent odours in the blender jug.
o
If you experience problems while using the appliance, never disassemble the motor
unit yourself; The internal parts cannot be repaired by the user. Always contact an
authorised customer service facility for inspection and repair.
