CAUTION: Before removing the blender jug, the power plug of the appliance must be
o
unplugged from the socket.
Crushing ice
o
Place the appliance on a flat, non-slip surface. Before use, make sure that the power
plug has been pulled out of the socket and that the "speed adjustment knob" is
turned to the "OFF" position.
o
Get some ice cubes ready. Remove the measuring cup and the lid of the jug and place
the ice cubes in the blender jug. Normally, a certain amount of water must be added
to enable the appliance to run smoothly. The ratio of ice to water is approximately
2:3. The quantity of the mixture should not exceed the maximum level mark on the
blender jug.
Crushed ice
o
Close the jug lid and click the jug lid handle into place, otherwise the appliance cannot
be switched on. Insert the measuring cup and fix it in place by turning clockwise.
o
Place the blender jug in the motor unit and turn it clockwise until it clicks into place,
otherwise the appliance cannot be switched on.
o
Connect the appliance to the mains.
o
Turn the "speed adjustment knob" to the "ON" position; the indicator lights on the
three buttons flash. Press the "Ice crush" button; the corresponding indicator light
lights up continuously. The appliance starts up.
NOTE: If the appliance is running in "Ice crush" mode, the speed cannot be adjusted
o
using the "speed adjustment knob".
o
NOTE: If you want to stop the appliance while the ice is being crushed, press the "Ice
crush" button again or turn the "speed adjustment knob" to the "OFF" position.
o
During operation, you can remove the measuring cup and add further ingredients to
the blender jug through the central opening in the jug lid. Then replace the measuring
cup.
o
NOTE: We advise never removing the blender jug from the motor unit during blend-
ing. If it is necessary to remove the blender jug, first turn off the power to stop the
blender and only then remove the blender jug.
CAUTION: Do not operate the appliance for more than 3 minutes at a time and allow
o
it to pause for at least 30 minutes between two successive operating cycles.
The appliance stops automatically once the ice has been crushed and the indicator
o
lights on the three buttons flash again.
Unplug the appliance from the socket and then remove the blender jug from the mo-
o
tor unit; carefully remove the lid of the jug and pour out and serve the contents.
