4.
Unscrew the air cylinder cover (#24) by turning the nut
counterclockwise and then lifting the cover and piston assembly away
from the cylinder (Fig. 5).
5.
The hydraulic oil level should barely cover the lock nut (#18)
connecting the air cylinder to the handle (#11).
Add hydraulic oil until the level is just above
the connection (fig. 6-1).
6.
Lightly lubricate the inner wall of the air
cylinder.
7.
Press the piston and air cylinder cover
assembly back into place as far as possible.
Tighten the nut.
8.
Refit the nosepiece storage and base cover onto the air cylinder.
ADJUSTING THE STROKE LENGTH
1.
Remove the outer sleeve using the box end of
wrench (#C02).
2.
Confirm the piston stroke is set to 70 mm length.
The wrench shaft (#C03) is designed for this
measurement. The piston fits into the front
notch. The wrench's butt will touch the threads
for the outer sleeve if the piston is properly
adjusted. (Fig. 7). Otherwise adjust the piston.
3.
Slide the small wrench's (#C02) open end onto
the flats of the socket (#7).
4.
Slide the large wrench's (#C03) open end onto
the clamp nut (#08).
5.
Hold the socket in place while loosening the nut.
Spin the nut backwards a bit (Fig. 8).
6.
Rotate the piston forward or backwards until it
is the correct distance as measured with the
wrench.
7.
Hold the socket in place again and tighten the
clamp nut.
8.
Fit the outer sleeve cylinder back onto the air riveter and tighten.
