5 pc Trim Remover Tool Set
INTRODUCTION
The trim tool set is comprised of five different pry bars made
of resilient nylon to minimize panel damage. The pry bars are
suitable for removing trim molding, panels and fasteners.
SAFETY
WARNING! Read and understand all instructions before
using this tool. The operator must follow basic
precautions to reduce the risk of personal injury and/or
damage to the equipment.
Keep this manual for safety warnings, precautions, operating
or inspection and maintenance instructions.
1. Use the correct tool for the job. This tool was designed
for a specific function. Do not modify or alter this tool or
use it for an unintended purpose.
2. Operate in a safe work environment. Keep your work
area clean, well-lit and free of distractions. Place lights
so you are not working in a shadow.
3. Control the tool, personal movement and the work
environment to avoid personal injury or damage to tool.
4. Do not operate any tool when tired or under the
influence of drugs, alcohol or medications.
5. Lock tools away and keep out of the reach of children.
6. Always wear impact safety goggles that provide front
and side protection for the eyes. Eye protection
equipment should comply with CSA Z94.3-07 or ANSI
Z87.1 standards based on the type of work performed.
7. A raised vehicle must be properly chocked and secured.
Consult the vehicle owner's manual and the manual for
the supporting devices.

UNPACKING
WARNING! Do not operate the tool if any part is missing.
Replace the missing part before operating. Failure to do so
could result in a malfunction and personal injury.
Remove the parts and accessories from the packaging and
inspect for damage. Make sure that all items in the
Identification Key are included.

OPERATION
IMPORTANT! Consult the vehicle manufacturer's repair
guide, if available, for instruction on removing the trim
from the vehicle.
Each trim tool has a specific function and some will
overlap.
TRIM RIVET REMOVAL
1. Select a pry bar or lever with a notch in the end.
2. Slide the trim tool's notch under the trim rivet. The
tines should snug against the rivet body and support
the rivet head.
3. Gently pry upward to remove the rivet. Lift the rivet
from more than one direction to avoid damage to the
rivet or trim hole.
LIFTING TRIM
1. Pull against the trim carefully to identify the points
where the trim is connected to the vehicle. This may
also expose an opening for a lever or pry bar.
2. Insert the lever between the panel and the trim. Rock
the lever back and forth to pop the trim off. Should
this fail, locate the connectors and position the lever
under them to apply direct pressure at that point.
3. Use a pry bar when additional force is required. The
puller pry bar (A) is best for this purpose as a finger
through the ring allows a better grip.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Visit a Princess Auto Ltd. location for a solution if the tool
does not function properly or parts are missing. If unable to
do so, have a qualified technician service the tool.
